Some evangelical groups in India’s western state of Maharashtra are asking Christians to sign declarations confirming that they attend prayer meetings voluntarily. Maharashtra’s Freedom of Religion Law, which targets “forced religious conversions,” took effect on August 28. It prohibits conversions involving force, fraud, coercion, undue influence or inducement. Christian groups fear its broad provisions could be applied to ordinary religious or charitable activities. The forms, reported in Mumbai and neighbouring districts, state that Christians attend of their own choice, without pressure, inducement or threats. Some churches also request a photograph and an Aadhaar or PAN identification number. The declarations are not required by the government. The move follows several disruptions of Christian gatherings. The Indian Express reported nine police cases linked to five incidents between April and July. Christian leaders say the forms were introduced as protection against allegations …Doliwat

Bishop Wilhelm Krautwaschl of Graz-Seckau, Austria, has prohibited the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) from holding its annual public Rosary prayer on October 4 inside the Basilica of Mariazell. It is one of the most important Marian shrines in Austria. The annual ceremony in the basilica included Rosary, Litany of Loreto, Marian hymns and a blessing - but no sacraments. Fsspx.at announced the decision on August 27, adding that a pilgrimage will take place with a modified program. The FSSPX’s rosary prayer in Mariazell has existed for half a century. On September 8, 1975, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre led approximately 600 faithful to the Austrian shrine. On August 27, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria called on the government and security agencies to step up efforts to combat killings and kidnappings following recent attacks in Benue and Niger states. In a statement titled “Stop the Slaughter in Borgu and Ukum, Stop the Killings in Nigeria,” the bishops said the country was experiencing an “unabated trail of blood and terror” that had reached an “intolerable crest.” The statement was signed by CBCN President Archbishop Matthew Man-Oso Ndagoso of Kaduna. The bishops cited the recent killing of 47 people in Ukum, Benue State, where another 17 people were critically wounded. They also condemned the abduction of more than 60 Muslim worshippers in Borgu, Niger State. They called for intelligence-led security operations. The aim is disrupting armed groups before they can carry out attacks. They also demanded the prosecution of the perpetrators and their sponsors, saying that “impunity fuels repetition.” Furthermore, the bishops …Doliwat

Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, removed in June as an exorcist by Washington Cardinal Robert McElroy, is continuing his deliverance ministry. In an August 3 email to subscribers, Monsignor Rossetti said he remains a priest in good standing in his home Diocese of Syracuse, New York, and will continue his work through the St. Michael Center, which operates within the territory of the Washington archdiocese. On June 3, Cardinal McElroy removed Rossetti as an archdiocesan exorcist and ended all affiliation between the Archdiocese of Washington and Rossetti's St. Michael Center. Monsignor Rossetti argues that he retains priestly faculties in several dioceses and exorcist faculties in two others. He also says his own bishop has encouraged him to continue the ministry. The June controversy followed Rossetti's eccentric claim that UFOs "are, in fact, demons." Cardinal McElroy - who had removed him for this claim - later said the decision was not about UFOs but reflected his view that the role of an …Doliwat
Read this garbage: Msgr Rossetti says " sexual abuse of minors by mothers could more easily be disguised as ordinary acts of cleaning, grooming or dressing children." If it is true that he said this, such a thought could only come from a rotten, corrupt mind. Our mothers -our blessed, beloved mothers- could never do such a thing! Thank you, Mom, for taking care of me since I was a baby!

Slovak pro-LGBT Catholic priest Adam Štefanec, 29, of the Diocese of Žilina said in an August 12 video that he does not like the word “God.” Rev. Štefanec believes that the term had accumulated so many associations that it no longer speaks to people today. “I try to find words that are universal,” he said, naming “humanity” as a universal value. Asked what Christ wants from people, Rev. Štefanec said the answer is “different for everyone,” different in every age, and “constantly changing.” Previously, Rev. Štefanec has supported homosex civil partnerships and said that homosexuality is not a sin.

Mother Miriam has done a complete 180 on the SSPX: "God has established His Church, his universe, everything on obedience, everything on obedience. Children are to obey their parents, not if their parents are holy and right, in everything but sin. Wives are to submit to their husbands, not because they're holy, not because they're right, but because God has given them that position — again, in everything but sin. Religious are to obey their superiors, whether their superior is right or holier than them, or no matter what it is, they are to obey in everything. And Christ's sheep, which is us, every one of us is to obey the successor of Peter, whether we know for sure he is, whether we agree with him, whether we can point out definite heresy. If he's the Pope, then we obey in everything but sin. We don't come against him. So that's where I left it yesterday, and my heart was completely converted."
The Russian Orthodox Church has revoked its June decision assigning its former foreign affairs chief to two Russian Orthodox parishes in southern Brazil. Instead, Patriarch Kirill has assigned Hilarion, 60, to the Exaltation of the Cross Monastery near Moscow. The latest reassignment comes after a series of controversies involving the once-powerful church diplomat. In May, Czech police detained Hilarion in Karlovy Vary after searching his car and finding four containers containing a white powder. Czech authorities later identified the substance as cocaine. Hilarion was released without charges after two days, while the investigation remains ongoing. He denies any involvement and says he was the victim of a provocation. Hilarion had already been removed as Metropolitan of Budapest and Hungary in 2024 after a former male assistant accused him of homosexual misconduct and financial impropriety. The allegations were accompanied by claims that Hilarion lived a lavish lifestyle and accumulated …Doliwat

The Safety Valve of the Holy Spirit: How Vatican II’s "Pastoral" Shield Preserved the Faith For sixty years, the Catholic faithful have been told to bow before a new deity: the elusive, shape-shifting "Spirit of Vatican II." We have been assured that the twenty-first ecumenical council was a rupture, a foundational reboot that dragged a reluctant, medieval Church into the glorious light of modern progressivism. The progressive wing of the Church has weaponized the Council's documents to construct a confusing, distorted Church on the ashes of the old. But their revolution possesses a fatal, architectural flaw. In their haste to remake the Church in the image of the secular world, the architects of this modern experiment forgot a fundamental rule of Catholic theology. By explicitly, repeatedly, and formally defining the Second Vatican Council as a strictly pastoral council, the Popes of the mid-twentieth century unwittingly revealed the ultimate proof of divine intervention. The Holy …Doliwat
Run of Saint Andrew: Amalfi's Centuries-Old Tradition. The spectacular 'Run of Saint Andrew' in Amalfi, Italy, is part of a centuries-old celebration honoring Saint Andrew, the city's patron saint. According to local tradition, on 27 June 1544, as the fleet of the Ottoman corsair Khayr al-Din Barbarossa threatened Amalfi, the townspeople prayed for Saint Andrew's intercession. A violent storm scattered the enemy ships, and the city was spared. Each year on 27 June, bearers carry the silver reliquary bust of Saint Andrew at a run up the 62 steps of Amalfi Cathedral, commemorating this traditional account of the city's deliverance.

RealRobert @Real_RobN And here it is… USAID more than doubled its spending on Brazil as soon as Bolsonaro won the 2018 election. This wasn’t because Brazil suddenly needed twice the aid; the money was spent on operations aimed at overthrowing the Brazilian government. The 2022 Brazilian election was stolen from Bolsonaro just as the 2020 U.S. election was stolen from Donald Trump and from Kari Lake in 2022, with USAID and the CIA involved in installing election-rigging machines that Brazilians didn’t even want. Just months before the election, CIA Director William Burns visited Brazil and warned Bolsonaro not to cast doubt on the voting machines or contest the election results — implying the newly installed machines were compromised. Additionally, Defense Secretary Lloyd “Woke” Austin — a DEI hire — visited Brazil and pressured the Chief of the Brazilian Armed Forces to accept the election results and support Lula, a convicted felon and self-proclaimed communist. How’s that for election …Doliwat
