Football Fan Mass in Argentina. Worse than Germany: On 16 July, football fan signs, including altar decorations, flags, hats and shirts, were incorporated into a Mass at the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria parish in Córdoba's Villa Argentina neighbourhood. The service was led by Rev. Luis Luján. He explained that the idea was to stay close to people and use the excitement around the national team to communicate Gospel values.

I wonder if we're taking this World Cup business too far. Father "Lucho", Our Lady of Candelaria Parish, Villa Argentina neighborhood, Córdoba.

Christ said, My house is a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves. Ecclesiastics says there is a time and a place for everything, but a church is not a place of revelry.

Humpback Whale Crucified among Priests, Altar Servers and an Altar: The blasphemous play Timmy: Hope Dies Last, which premiered on 11 July at the Ernst Deutsch Theater in Hamburg, Germany, portrays the stranded humpback whale Timmy as a Christ-like figure. Directed by Alexander Klessinger, the production features a 'Mass for Timmy', a crucifixion. The production was inspired by Timmy, whose stranding in the Baltic Sea this spring prompted a nationwide rescue effort. The whale was found dead off the coast of Denmark approximately two weeks after being freed. The operation reportedly cost around €2 million.

26 Years Later: Why Jeanette Hall Is Still Grateful to Be Alive: In Oregon, USA, on July 17, 2000, Jeanette Hall was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Believing she had no future, she asked her doctor for assisted suicide under Oregon's newly enacted law. Instead of writing the prescription, Dr. Kenneth Stevens took the time to understand her fears and encouraged her to consider treatment. One question changed everything: "Wouldn't you like to see your son graduate from the police academy?" Jeanette chose treatment. She survived, attended her son's graduation, and years later told Dr. Stevens: "You saved my life. If I had gone to a doctor that believed in assisted suicide, I would not be here."

Executive Director, Euthanasia Prevention Coalition We received a message from Jeanette Hall who commented on the article concerning France legalizing euthanasia. Jeanette wrote:Alex. It is 26 years (July 17, 2000) that I learned I had terminal colon cancer and wanted to follow that same course with Oregon's law and asked Dr. Kenneth Stevens to help me end my life. Three Latin Masses in Versailles Face Cancellation Despite Earlier Agreement

Three scheduled Masses in the Roman rite in August at Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France, are likely to be cancelled unless the Diocese of Versailles authorizes a priest to celebrate them.
Earlier this year, after months of dialogue, the diocese reached an agreement with representatives of the faithful to ensure that the Latin Mass would be celebrated every Sunday and holy day throughout the year.
According to Paix Liturgique (15 July), the Diocese of Versailles acknowledged that it might be unable to provide priests for several summer dates and invited the faithful to propose canonically regular priests to fill the gaps.
Most of the missing celebrations have since been covered, but the Masses scheduled for 2, 9, and 23 August remain without an approved celebrant.
The faithful say that Rev. Jacques-Pascal Bosi, a priest in good standing of the Diocese of Gap-Embrun who is currently serving on mission in Paris, is available to celebrate the remaining Masses. They state that the Diocese of …Më shumë

Election Integrity as Pro-Life Stewardship: Reflections on President Trump’s Address to the Nation - Fides et Ratio | Reflections on life from a theological and rational perspective

Election Integrity as Pro-Life Stewardship Reflections on President Trump’s Address to the Nation We give thanks to the Lord for the preservation of President Trump and for the measure of clarity offered in his primetime Address to the Nation on July 16, 2026. For those of us who have labored in grassroots activism over many years, the speech carried the weight of a historic culmination. My own path in this work began at age sixteen, when I addressed the city council in Beaumont, Texas. That early engagement centered on pro-life concerns, as it has for so many faithful Catholics. The protection of innocent life remains foundational. Without life, there can be no meaningful conversation about governance, technology, or the common good. Yet over time, through the grace of Providence, I came to see that the defense of life itself requires the defense of free and fair elections. Victories such as Dobbs, which rightly returned the issue to the states in our constitutional republic, stand or …

" She saw him transpierced by iron pins. Her angel told her that it was the deceased brother of that woman who had asked her prayers. "If you wish," he added, "to ask any grace in his favour, it will not be refused to you." "I ask, then," she replied, "that he may be delivered from those horrible irons that transpierce him." Immediately she saw them drawn from the poor sufferer, who was then taken from this special prison and placed in the one occupied by those souls that had not incurred any particular torment."

‘Pains of Purgatory Diversity of the Pains — King Sancho and Queen Guda …’ – ‘Purgatory’ by Rev. Shouppe; 1929; Chapter XX; p. 60-62, part I

Chapter XX ~ Diversity of the Pains — King Sancho and Queen Guda — St. Lidwina and the Soul Transpierced — Blessed Margaret Mary and the Bed of Fire.
According to the saints, there is great diversity in the corporal pains of Purgatory. Although fire is the principal instrument of torture, there is also the torment of cold, the torture of the members, and the torture applied to the different senses of the human body. This diversity of suffering seems to correspond to the nature of the sins, each one of which demands its own punishment, according to these words : Quia per quce peccat quis, per hac et torquetur — " By what things a man sinneth, by the same also is he tormented."1 It is just that it should be so with regard to the chastisement, since the same diversity exists in the distribution of the reward. In Heaven each one receives according to his works, and, as Venerable Bede says, each one receives his crown, his robe of glory. For the martyr this robe is of a rich purple colour, …Më shumë

DOUBTS ABOUT THE VALIDITY OF THE SACRAMENTS AT THE SSPX - "ARCHBISHOP LEFEBVRE" KNEW IT!
THE HERESY OF THE PROBABLE SACRAMENTS UTTERED BY "BISHOP FELLAY"
Is Marcel Lefebvre a doubtful bishop ? Words of Wisdom, THE SERAPH, Vol XIX No5, January 1999
1/DOUBTS ABOUT THE CONSECRATION AND ORDINATION OF MARCEL LEFEBVRE BY THE FREEMASON AND LUCIFERIAN ACHILLE LIÉNART: PROOF OF "BISHOP" LEFEBVRE’S SPIRIT OF DISSIMULATION
"Bishop" Lefebvre had known of Liénart's membership in Freemasonry for many years, he knew that his orders would be questioned.
In March 1976, the Italian magazine Chiesa Viva revealed Cardinal Achille Liénart's membership in the highest degrees of Freemasonry. "Bishop" Lefebvre understood that his connection with Liénart would soon become public, prompting him to make the following statement at a conference in Montreal, Canada, in May 1976, feigning surprise at learning of his mentor's membership: "This news has filled me with bitterness". This admission was intended to dispel …Më shumë

We obey only Christ-- HIM AND HIM ALONE.

We'd have to hear the whole speech, but I wonder why he says that being a Synodal Church means recognizing that we don't possess the truth but must seek it together. What truth is he referring to? Isn't the Church the pillar and foundation of truth?

14,6 Jesus replied, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
What is he talking about? What are we talking about? The successors of the apostles and the Catholic Church are the sole holders of the truth and the way (well, okay: up until the Second Vatican Council)
