In a letter dated July 1, Bishop LaValley instructed Catholics in the Diocese of Ogdensburg not to participate in FSSPX liturgies or receive sacraments from FSSPX clergy. He directed Catholics to avoid activities at St. Therese Chapel in Nicholville, New York, as well as any schools operated by the FSSPX.
