A Secret Beneath Lautaro Martínez's Socks: Argentine striker Lautaro Martínez wears an image of Our Lady of Luján, Argentina's patron saint, inside his shin guards. The devotion was revealed after Argentina's dramatic 3–2 win over Egypt at the World Cup, when TV cameras caught the image during a post-match interview. FIFA prohibit religious messages on players' kit.

Cardinal López "Prepared to Lose His Rank" - Priest Cousin

Rev. Alfons Gea, a Catalan priest and cousin of Cardinal Cristóbal López Romero, has appeared to confirm the sexual nature of allegations against the 74-year-old Archbishop of Rabat, Morocco.
Cardinal López, a Spanish-born Salesian, is a prominent supporter of Pope Francis’s agenda, was appointed Archbishop of Rabat in 2017 and a cardinal in 2019.
On Monday, he announced that he would temporarily withdraw from public celebrations and pastoral ministry while the Vatican conducts a preliminary investigation into allegations involving at least five adult women. He has admitted to “inappropriate behaviour” but denies committing sexual assault, violence, or harassment.
ElPaís.com has described the allegations as sexual abuse, rather than merely inappropriate hugs or gestures.
Writing for Exaudi.org, Rev. Gea said his cousin had already begun privately accepting the possible consequences: “The image of a papabile, a figure who enjoyed such widespread affection, has come crashing down." And: …ད་རུང་།

"Global warming saves lives." Geologist Gregory Wrightstone thoroughly debunks the "climate crisis" narrative, arguing that modest warming and increased carbon dioxide actually benefit humanity—by reducing cold-related deaths, boosting agricultural output and triggering widespread global greening. "Earth's ecosystems are thriving and prospering, and humanity is benefitting from this combination of modest warming and more CO₂."

Cardinal Bagnasco: Why Not Summorum Pontificum?

"There are many rites in the Catholic Church; in Milan, for example, there is the Ambrosian Rite," Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco told AdVaticanum.com on July 8.
He added: "The document of Benedict XVI, Summorum Pontificum, does not create a new liturgical rite, but recognises, within the one Roman Rite, an ordinary form and an extraordinary form."
For the Cardinal, the issue is not the unity of the faith but rather "legitimate personal sensibilities": "If, in this area, differences do not become absolutes, banners, or parties, then why not?"

No, it was Montini with Bugnini who created it. Ratzinger just tried to save it by imposing a legal fiction of two forms of the same rite for ontologically and historically different rites.

McElroy's New Statement on Exorcist Contradicts His Previous One

🌈 Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington now says he removed Msgr. Stephen Rossetti as a Washington exorcist not because of his demons-and-UFOs comments, but because exorcism should be a private ministry.
In a June 29 interview released July 8, McElroy said his objection was that exorcists should stick to quietly helping people in serious cases, not operate publicly: "It wasn't touching on the question of UFOs... my major objection is that I think the traditional role of an exorcist is a very private one."
That explanation contradicts the archdiocese's own June statement announcing the removal. It said Rossetti's UFO comments "gravely undermine the Church's very precise teaching on the devil, demons and exorcism."
Monsignor Rossetti had said in a video that he thinks many UFO sightings are demons capable of feats beyond human ability, such as impossible high-speed maneuvers.

First Canadian Town Grants Trees a 'Right to Life': On 9 June, the town of Terrasse-Vaudreuil in Quebec, home to around 2,000 people, became the first place in Canada to adopt a resolution enshrining the 'rights' of trees. The resolution includes rights such as the right to life, natural growth, integrity and regeneration. Mayor Michel Bourdeau said the initiative was inspired by filmmaker André Desrochers and his film 'Des arbres et des arts'. Meanwhile, around 30,000 human beings are aborted in Quebec each year, and more than 100,000 in Canada as a whole. Since its legalisation in 2016, more than 100,000 Canadians have died through euthanasia (MAID).

Quebec town goes off the deep end: recognizes trees have the right to life

The Quebec town of Terrasse-Vaudreuil has become the first place in Canada to sign the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Tree. No, this is not Ripley's believe it or not. The town's bylaws now recognize that trees have the right to life. Trees must be protected and replaced. This is what happens when people no longer believe in God, they will believe in everything and do anything, from UFOs, to climate change and that trees have the right to life. A motion was passed by the city council on June 9, for the protection of trees "including the right to life, to natural growth, to integrity and to regeneration." The Mayor Michel Bourdeau says the council took action because André Desrochers film, called Des arbes et des arts, in English, Trees and Arts, made them aware that "A tree is like a human being. It breathes, it lives, it takes in water. It protects us from all sorts of things." We only wonder if the council could say that same thing about some 30,000 unborn babies that …

Ep3. Living the Fatima Message – CONSECRATION | The Fatima Center

What does it really mean to consecrate yourself completely to Our Lady? Many Catholics have made an act of consecration—but few understand what it truly means to live it every day. In this conference, Fr. Karl Stehlin explains the spirituality of total consecration: renouncing your own will, allowing Our Lady to form your heart, imitating her in every action, and becoming an instrument for the salvation of souls. He also addresses common objections, explains why consecration is dynamic rather than a one-time event, and shows how it transforms ordinary daily life. 00:00 Introduction 03:52 What is Marian consecration? 10:48 Why give yourself completely to Mary? 20:41 Consecration as a total gift of self 31:58 Living “through, with, in, and for Mary” 42:33 “I allow you to give me your Heart” 43:33 Why Our Lady must be recognized as Mediatrix of all Graces 51:36 Consecration is a donation, not just a promise 51:58 “Let Mary think, speak, and act through you” 53:19 Consecration is a lifelong …

"In 2013", said the Russian Patriarch, "the heads of local Orthodox Churches came to Moscow to celebrate the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, and when they met Vladimir Putin, one of the strongest messages was the request that Russia should accept to take part in the protection of Christians in the Middle East. I am pleased", Kirill added, "that this happened, and thanks to Russia's intervention, the genocide of Christians was stopped". The Head of the Russian Church confirmed the intention of the Patriarchate of Moscow to contribute to the humanitarian aid of Middle Eastern populations, and also to the reconstruction of "places of worship, monasteries, monuments, including Muslim monuments and historical monuments".
I posted once on how Russia brought aid to a Catholic nursing home where Sisters took care of disabled and elderly. How both Catholics and Muslims ran to the Russian bases to escape the genocide in both Christian …ད་རུང་།

ASIA/MIDDLE EAST - The Patriarch of Moscow: Russian intervention in Syria saved Christians from

sportCafè24.com Moscow (Agenzia Fides) – Thanks to Russia's military intervention in the Syrian conflict, the "genocide" of Christians was stopped. And now, the Russian Orthodox Church will take on the task of supporting the reconstruction of Syrian churches, but also of mosques and historical monuments. This was stated by Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and all the Russias, in the traditional television interview broadcast on Rossija channel 1 on Sunday 7 January, the day when Russian Orthodox Christians celebrated Christmas. In the interview, focusing on the condition and recent trials the Middle Eastern Christian communities have had to face, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church also reproposed personal memories useful to account for the Russian approach regarding the Middle Eastern events of recent years. "In 2013", said the Russian Patriarch, "the heads of local Orthodox Churches came to Moscow to celebrate the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, and when they met Vladimir …

Leo XIV openly rejects the reign of Christ the King over states and nations - LifeSite

Wed Jul 8, 2026 - 3:54 pm EDTWed Jul 8, 2026 - 4:37 pm EDT Now, this authority, perfect in itself, and plainly meant to be unfettered, so long assailed by a philosophy that truckles to the State, the Church, has never ceased to claim for herself and openly to exercise. The Apostles themselves were the first to uphold it, when, being forbidden by the rulers of the synagogue to preach the Gospel, they courageously answered: “We must obey God rather than men.” — Pope Leo XIII, Immortale Dei, “On the Christian Constitution of States” (LifeSiteNews) — In his recent “encyclical letter” Magnifica Humanitas, Leo XIV publicly rejected the reign of Christ the King over states and nations. US Archbishop: “I Met Sincere Catholics and Strong Families within FSSPX”

Archbishop Bernard Hebda of Saint Paul and Minneapolis wrote on July 2 about the episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX):
"In the ten years that I have led this local Church, I have met many sincere people who worship regularly or occasionally at the chapels of the SSPX within the territory of our Archdiocese. I have been impressed by the strength of their families and their commitment to traditional Catholic values."
He acknowledges that the FSSPX bishops’ excommunication will affect them in a particular way and hopes they will not follow them “in separating themselves from Pope Leo XIV.”
Monsignor Hebda also noted that the Traditional Latin Mass is celebrated at six locations in the Archdiocese, adding: “I am confident that those who prefer the Traditional Latin Mass could find a home here.”
