When Fr Bijoy Joseph was growing up, Eucharistic processions simply weren’t part of parish life. “It was something that wasn’t exactly in fashion in our parishes,” he said. That changed when he entered the seminary and served at Walk with Christ, the Archdiocese of Sydney’s annual Eucharistic procession through the city. Now appointed the Director of Liturgy for the International Eucharistic Congress, Fr Bijoy now walks close to the Blessed Sacrament and sees the crowd from the front. “You’re seeing this immense mass of people walking behind our Lord and trying to walk with him,” he said. “It’s quite a moving experience. Napa Institute co-founder Tim Busch and his wife Steph have, since late 2023, hosted more than 15 “salon dinners” in their Manhattan apartment overlooking the Freedom Tower and in Orange County with Fr. James Martin, SJ, as their special guest. Each gathering of 12 to 14 guests begins with Mass in the apartment chapel, continues with the Rosary before a Marian shrine, and ends with a Mediterranean dinner prepared by a French chef and served with Busch’s Trinitas Cellars wine, including a Cabernet named “Francis” after Pope Francis.
